"Short biographies of milestone moments, written with care"

Shropshire-based Line & Verse, a short biography and storytelling service, has launched. They specialise in writing, formatting and framing people’s brightest days - such as wedding days. These stories can be hung on a wall to be remembered and admired as pieces of art.

Weddings are already changing. Across the UK, couples are choosing unplugged ceremonies, documentary-style films and more intimate celebrations that prioritise being present over performance. Yet when the day is over, most memories are still preserved the same way they always have been: through images.

These thoughts inspired Line & Verse’s campaign, *Write It Down*. An idea that is rooted in personal experience. After helping care for a parent with dementia, company Founder Sharon Hadley-Ford became aware of how easily stories are lost when they are not recorded. That experience shaped both the service and its wider call to action: encouraging people to write their stories down while they still can.

In the UK, dementia was the leading cause of death in 2024; therefore, in support of vital research, Line & Verse has launched a campaign and: 10% of every sale will be donated to Alzheimer’s Research UK via Work for Good. This means that each commission, whether a wedding story, a vow or a speech, becomes both a personal keepsake and a contribution to the fight against memory loss.

Sharon describes the idea of recording memories of special days as personal stories, a natural extension of what couples want.

“We already know people want authenticity. We know they want to treasure these moments. However, writing is the missing piece. My message is simple: *Write It Down.* And if the words feel difficult to find, Line & Verse exists to write them for you.” said Sharon.

Rather than replacing photography or film, Line & Verse offers storytelling as a complementary keepsake: a written account that captures voices, relationships, fleeting moments, and emotions that a camera cannot.

Alongside wedding-day stories, Line & Verse also creates proposal narratives, wedding vows, and speeches, helping couples articulate love, commitment and record family history. The service applies biography-writing techniques to weddings, which are more commonly associated with legacy projects.
